Training Opportunity
Skilling Queenslanders for Work is a fantastic State Government initiative aimed at providing targeted skills and training to Queenslanders who are unemployed or underemployed. There is focus on supporting:
- Young people
- Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people
- People with disability
- Mature age jobseekers
- Women re-entering the workforce
- Veterans and ex service personnel
- People from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds
We currently have opportunites for Queenslanders to complete a Certificate III in Individual Support under the Skilling Queenslanders for Work initiative. We offer accredited training combined with life skill training to ensure you are supported and prepared to re-enter the workforce. The program is proudly funded by the Queensland Government has the following eligibility requirements:
Queensland residents, 18 years and over who:
- need support to successfully gain employment, secure more stable employment and build foundation skills to a level for successful completion of a vocational qualification
- need to reskill and retrain following redundancy or a long absence from work
- meet Australian residency requirements
- meet correct visa eligibility requirements
- are ineligible for Australian Government employment services or assistance
- remain unemployed after accessing Australian Government services for more than six months
- successful completion of a national police check
