Training

Training presents a prime opportunity to expand your knowledge base, to grow as a person and to broaden your skills and we are here to support you to achieve that. Through funding received from various government departments, we are able to offer accredited and non-accredited training to help you gain employment or re-train in a new industry.
This year we have three programs available - Cert III in Education Support, Cert II Kitchen Operations / Cert II in Cookery and the Ready for Work program, all part of the Skilling Queenslanders for Work initiative.
Ready for Work - is a FREE 6 week course that you can jump into at anytime during the 6 week cycle to learn job readiness skills. Modules cover important topics such as
Resume writing and writing skills | Job search advice and Online/Digital skills | Job interview skills |Employability skills | Networking skills and so much more.
We also have the Ready for Work Youth program starting September 20th. This program is for young people aged 15-24yrs. It runs over two weeks and starts at 11am. Lunch is provided and you'll have access to the Jackets for Jobseekers wardrobe. All modules are covered from the six week program, but the emphasis is on young people with limited work exposure/skills but ample understanding of the online/digital space.

- Certificate II in Kitchen Operations(SIT20416)
The next intakes for this is on now with the course starting in September. We have partnered with the award wining, world class, hospitality school, the Institute of Culinary Excellence (ICE) who will be delivering thhis training in a modern, innovative and exciting way.
This certificate sets you on a path to a career in the kitchen. You'll learn about food handling, cooking techniques, food safety skills and more.
