Training

Training presents a prime opportunity to expand your knowledge base, to grow as a person and to broaden your skills and we are here to support you to achieve that. Through funding received from various government departments, we are able to offer accredited and non-accredited training to help you gain employment or re-train in a new industry.  

We currently have three programs available - Cert III in Education Support, the Cert II Cookery and the Ready for Work program, all part of the Skilling Queenslanders for Work initiative.

Ready for Work is designed for job seekers facing challenges or barriers. This course will assit you in gaining the skills you need and will provide you with support and guidance you need to succeed. Registrations are now open for the Certificate II in Cookery (SIT20421) program, in partnership with ICE!

Classes commence offering a comprehensive curriculum designed to equip you with essential skills and knowledge for a successful career in the culinary industry. Classes run twice a week from 9am to 3pm, spanning over 13 weeks.

You'll receive hands-on training in a commercial kitchen environment, providing invaluable practical experience.

Our program prioritises your success, offering both in-class and out-of-class support to ensure your learning journey is seamless and rewarding. Plus, the best part? The Certificate II in Cookery is offered at no cost to eligible* participants!

Designed to not only impart culinary skills but also to support your employment endeavors, our program aims to help you secure and sustain a job in the dynamic culinary landscape.
